Tray-type cable trays are suitable for laying power and control cables and are widely used in the automotive, construction, home appliance, chemical, machinery, petroleum, metallurgy, light industry, transportation, power, aviation, and marine engineering industries. Furthermore, due to their excellent corrosion resistance, tray-type cable trays are extensively used in outdoor environments where atmospheric corrosion is severe and maintenance is difficult.
In power systems, they primarily handle overhead laying of power cables below 10kV. Case studies from 2025 show that the maximum single span can reach 12 meters, with a load capacity of 480 kg/m. In the petrochemical industry, fully enclosed powder-coated cable trays are commonly used, equipped with dedicated grounding bars to meet explosion-proof requirements. The telecommunications industry mainly uses perforated aluminum alloy cable trays, utilizing their lightweight and good heat dissipation characteristics, making them suitable for power cable installation and control cable laying.
