Cable tray loads are categorized into static loads, dynamic loads, and additional loads.
Static loads refer to the type, number, and weight per unit length of cables laid within the cable tray, listed separately for different cable routes.
Dynamic loads refer to the weight of construction and maintenance personnel during cable tray installation and maintenance. For lightweight cable trays, dynamic loads are generally not considered; that is, standing or walking on the tray is not permitted. If standing on the tray is necessary, the span should be appropriately reduced.
Additional loads, only applicable outdoors, refer to loads caused by ice, snow, wind, and electromagnetic forces. These are related to the local weather conditions and the properties of the charged conductors, and should be calculated based on these conditions during the design phase.
