They bend and sag because the solid bottom is heavy. Our Large Span Trough Cable Tray solves this problem. We add stiffeners to the bottom and side rails. The tray stays straight across long distances. This gives you the protection of a trough with the strength of a heavy-duty system.
Reinforced Bottom and Side Rails
We build this tray with thicker material than standard troughs. The bottom plate has pressed-in ribs. These ribs act like support beams. They prevent the bottom from bowing downward under cable weight. The side rails are reinforced with vertical stiffeners. This keeps the tray straight from end to end. For spans up to 6 meters, we recommend 1.5mm to 2.0mm thickness. For spans up to 8 meters, we recommend 2.5mm to 3.0mm. The tray carries the load without excessive deflection. We test every batch to ensure the deflection stays under 1/200 of the span. Your cables stay protected and properly supported.
Indoors and Outdoors, We Have You Covered
The Large Span Trough Cable Tray works in many environments. Indoors, we recommend powder-coated steel. The coating is 60μm thick. It resists dust and looks professional. Outdoors, we recommend hot-dip galvanized steel. The zinc layer is 65μm or thicker. It resists rain and UV exposure. For chemical plants or coastal areas, we offer stainless steel. For weight-sensitive applications, we offer aluminum. All accessories match the tray material and finish. Cover plates, splice plates, and brackets are all reinforced for long-span use.
