Some cable runs are very wide. They carry many cables side by side. The tray needs to be wide enough to hold them all. But wide trays bend more easily than narrow ones. The wider the tray, the more leverage the cables have on the center. Our Wide Span Tray handles this problem with a stronger design. We use thicker side rails. We add reinforcing ribs to the bottom. We space the supports closer together when needed. The result is a tray that stays flat across its full width.

The wider the tray, the more leverage the cables have on the center. Our Wide Span Tray handles this problem with a stronger design. We use thicker side rails. We add reinforcing ribs to the bottom. Reinforced Bottom and Side Rails

 

We start with a sturdy base. The bottom plate is solid or perforated, depending on your needs. We add pressed-in stiffening ribs along the length of the tray. These ribs resist bending. The side rails are made from thicker material than standard trays. This gives the tray the rigidity it needs. For perforated versions, we place the holes in a pattern that preserves strength. For spans over 6 meters, we offer optional center supports. These supports reduce deflection. The maximum deflection under full load never exceeds 1/200 of the span. Your cables stay level and supported.

Tray style with pressed-in stiffening ribs. Solid or perforated bottom. Optional center supports for long spans.
